This place is my go to for a nice country ride and amazing meat market! My buddy and I ride our motorcycles up here every couple months. We load up on amazing cheeses, sausages, brats, steaks...you name it. The best price for the freshest ingredients. They are always friendly and the staff is awesome! It's an old fashioned grocery store inside with an incredible meat display cheeses that are out of this world!

From the billboards I saw on the road, Fischer's exceeded my expectations! From the outside, it's the most adorable building with a beautiful mural and when you enter, it's a huge grocery store! I have been to many small town grocery stores and while yes, some of the contents will be more expensive than the stores you shop at back home, some of these items were in line with or a little cheaper than what I would find at a mainstream grocery store, and I can think of a few. The real draw for me was the sheer amount of Fischer's products! I've attached pictures, but that is maybe a third of their specific products. They have their own seasonings, dressings, salsas, hot sauce, jams, pickled everything and of course meats and cheeses in spades! Up front they have a cooler that has kolaches and strudel from other businesses like Bayer's (local) and Rumpey's (Gainesville). The staff was super kind, they have limited space to scan so they scan directly from your cart. They are open Monday through Saturday from 6am to 7pm and closed on Sundays. We went early and got parking right by the door, but the lot is small and I noticed later in the day when I drove by that it was full and people were parked all along the side street. They are, of course, a meat market as well and in addition to a large meat counter at the back we noticed a back entrance directing the meat processing orders on the back street. Can't say much more on that though as my freezer will never fit more than what I can get from their main coolers, lol. We were on our anniversary trip and ended up coming here again because we were so happy with their selection and wanted to bring even more home. It's definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in town. It's roughly 15 miles west of Gainesville, so I would suggest a stop if you are even sort of nearby- bring the cooler!

Whenever we are within 50 miles of Muenster, we stop in at Fischer's to stock up on their authentic German and Polish sausages, house smoked cheeses, and homemade mustards. This market is always busy and well-stocked with groceries for the locals and specialty products for the tourists (like us). It's hard not to come out of Fischer's with multiple packs of their delicious smoked meats and cheeses, but despite our pledges to ourselves to be judicious, we bought a ton of stuff anyway: Kielbasa, Hunter's Sausage, Knockwurst, Smoked Gouda, Smoked Cheddar, cheese curds, 4 kinds of mustard and 2 bottles of local wine. 5 Always gotta stop at Fischer's stars!

This was our first trip to Fischer's Meat market. The market has plenty to offer besides the normal American groceries. We went on a Sunday which they were a little busy but I'd didnt take that much time to get through the store. We picked up some cheese, smoked brats, fried pies and jerky. Which were are made and packed at the store. All of the items were really good and tasted fresh. The only thing I would like to purchase next time is the apple strudel and few of their other meats. Muenster Texas is a very small town but have some really fun events and s.all stores we would like to visit in the near future.
